On October 7, Achi Sitbon lost one of his most veteran and beloved workers, and for a split second he almost lost his own life. But the wave of volunteers who flooded the family farm restored his faith in people.
“These amazing Israelis actually planted the future of our country,” he says with emotion. “This is the first greenhouse on the farm that will bear the fruits of the post war era.”
In this new episode of Man/Land (Adam/Adama), Hedai Offaim and Shlomi Shaban travel to the Sitbon family farm in Moshav Dekel, where Hedai cooks fresh fish patties with a sauce made from tomatoes picked that very day. Shlomi visits a greenhouse for the first time in his life, and brings his grand piano inside for an intimate acoustic performance.
