This documentary film follows the director’s deeply personal journey into an exhibition of self-portraits by a celebrated painter—the man in every image is her father, though few know it. Born out of wedlock, she has been absent from the official narratives, unseen in catalogs or exhibitions. Reconnecting with her father after a decade, she proposes a film about him and their fragile connection, one reflected and refracted through his art. As she photographs his exhibition and explores his work, she discovers the true challenge is not documenting the paintings, but facing the man behind them. Gazing at his face becomes a mirror to her own identity, her silences, and the void she seeks to capture on film.
