Amos and Zohara manage to reenter Avishai’s apartment and extinguish the flames just in time. Determined to keep the plan alive, Amos heads to the university to stand in for Avishai at a crucial donor meeting, only to endure fresh humiliations that expose his fragile status in academia. The following day, the friends learn that Avishai’s sister is about to arrive for her weekly overnight visit. Forced to act quickly, they decide to move the body to Yehuda’s empty house while his wife is abroad and his daughters are away. They attempt the absurd task of escorting their dead friend out as if he were merely drunk. Disaster strikes when the body slips from their hands and is accidentally run over by a young Arab Israeli man on a motorized bicycle. Horrified, the young man insists he has killed someone. In panic, the friends convince him to leave, warning that the police might suspect terrorism. He eventually flees, but the damage is done. The body is bruised and visibly injured, making their original plan impossible. The crisis ignites a fierce argument within the group, and Nili storms off in anger, leaving their friendship as shaken as their secret.
