On October 7, “Your Song” by Dudi Bar David became “His Song,” the song of Staff Sergeant Omri Peretz, commander of a paratrooper squad who fell in the battle for Kibbutz Kissufim and who deeply loved the piece.
“When you play for parents who buried their son, and your song accompanied him on his final journey, you cannot remain the same person, the same artist, or the same father as before,” Bar David says. “The eyes of these parents stay with you for life. In this episode of Song of Hope, Bar David offers an intimate and emotional performance of “Come Back” by Sarit Hadad and Dikla, amplifying the cry of the entire nation for the return of the hostages.
