After a family vacation, Anat returns back to her work at the hostel to find Niko, a newly-released prisoner and her ex-lover. Twelve years ago, during her internship as a social worker, Anat was put in charge of integrating Niko back into society. She desperately searched for a job for him, fought the welfare system, and got caught up in his past when a violent gang tried to settle their score. Niko was wounded by the gang, and what was initially Anat's concern over Niko's well-being turned into the two spending the night together.
The next day, however, Anat caught Niko returning to his old ways, dealing drugs in order to pay his debt to the gang. Without giving him a chance to explain, Anat immediately reported him to the police, leading to his arrest and return to prison. Now, standing in front of her is Niko. While Anat has seemingly moved on, married her ex-boyfriend and is a mother of two, she always wondered if Niko was truly a criminal, or was he just trying to ensure their future together. She has no choice but to send Niko to a different hostel.
