A rare self-portrait of a couple—photographer Mundek Lukawiecki and his wife Hannah Bern—leads their 65-year-old son Simon to uncover a shocking family secret. In this documentary film, Simon learns that his parents were not only Holocaust survivors but also commanders of a Polish partisan assassination squad. Backed by Mundek’s extraordinary Leica photos taken in the forest during the war, the film pieces together a hidden history of resistance, violence, and survival, offering a chilling yet intimate glimpse into a past long concealed.
