Rising (Palmach) is a period adventure daily drama based on historical events, portraying the Jewish people’s struggle to turn their dream of a homeland into reality in the aftermath of the devastating war in Europe.
Under impossible conditions, a brother and sister - both Holocaust survivors - bravely swim to the shores of Israel in 1946, after the illegal ship they were on is stopped by British soldiers.
They come bearing a secret they don’t yet understand themselves – one which could save the entire wave of Jewish refugees fleeing Europe post-WWII.
