Artist Uri Lifshitz's studio has remained as it was during his lifetime. Nothing has been moved: his brushes, his paints, furniture, manuscripts and of course the paintings – three floors packed with 2000 forlorn works of art. Over the years, the Jaffa studio was visited by friends and intellectuals but never by members of the artistic establishment. In the documentary film "Uri Lifshitz", Uri's presence is ever felt: in the hundreds of paintings, in his unique technique, in the poignant social and political message conveyed by his work, and also in the frustration caused by the artistic establishment's refusal to acknowledge him throughout his entire career. This posthumous film portrays the artist through his amazing paintings – an unrelenting man who suffered greatly from the pain of rejection.
