An unprecedented documentary series of the Public Defense work in Israel. "Defense Files" follows public attorneys and their defendants, revealing human stories and moving emotional dramas. In each episode, three different cases are presented, which produce fascinating, delusional, frightening, and exciting dramas, from which one can learn about the dark corners of the human soul, about the social difficulties in Israel and about the legal system. In a hyper-realistic style, without narration and without interviews, a shocking sequence is presented of criminal cases - from the meetings between the lawyers and the defendants, through the legal proceedings, to the verdicts given in their case. For many of the accused, these are life changing processes. "Defense Files" won the Israeli Documentary Film Forum Award for Best Documentary Series.
